Dub Generator lets you remix songs by real artists on a dub mixing desk in your browser. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the site. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18 and that you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

1. Who we are

Dub Generator (dubgenerator.com) is run by [Owner name or company], tax ID [NIF / CIF], [Postal address], Barcelona, Spain. Contact: [legal@dubgenerator.com].

2. The service

Each pack is a song split into loops by its artist. You can play and dub any pack without an account. With a free account you can record a mix, publish it with a link and share it. Some features may become part of a paid plan in the future; if so, we will tell you the price and conditions before you pay anything.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Use a real email address you control. Keep your password safe: you are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Your sound name and avatar are public. Don't impersonate an artist, a brand or another person, and don't use names that are offensive or misleading.
  • One account per person. Accounts can't be sold or transferred.

4. The artists' music

The loops, artwork and names in each pack belong to their artists (or whoever they licensed them from). They are on Dub Generator because the artists agreed to it. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play and remix the packs inside Dub Generator, for non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • download, record or extract the loops on their own, or try to get the original audio files out of the site;
  • use the loops, artwork or artist names outside Dub Generator, or to train or feed any AI system;
  • scrape the site or access it with bots or automated tools, except the embed code we provide.

5. Your mixes

A mix is your performance (your fader moves, effects and choices) played over the artist's music. Your creative work stays yours, but the mix also contains the artist's recordings, so it can only be used the way these terms allow:

  • Sharing: you can share links to your mix page and embed it, anywhere. That's the whole point.
  • No release outside the site: don't upload the audio of your mix to streaming platforms, stores or other sites, sell it or use it in ads, unless the artist has given you written permission.
  • Credit: a mix is always shown as a dub remix by you of the original song and artist. Don't remove or hide that credit.

When you publish a mix as public or unlisted, you give us and the pack's artist a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, stream, show and share it, credited to your sound name, for as long as it is published on Dub Generator. That includes featuring it on the site and on Dub Generator's or the artist's social media. Private mixes are only visible to you. You can change the visibility of your mix or replace it at any time.

6. House rules

Don't use Dub Generator to:

  • publish names, avatars or mix titles that are hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or illegal;
  • infringe someone else's rights, including copyright, trademarks and privacy;
  • get around limits (one mix per free account, save limits, mix length) or overload the service;
  • probe, test or break the security of the site without our written permission;
  • send spam through the contact form or any other feature.

7. Reports and moderation

If you see a mix, name or avatar that breaks these rules, or you believe something on the site infringes your rights, contact us with the link and the reason. We may hide or remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or the law. When we do, we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it, and you can reply to ask us to review the decision.

8. Embedding the mixer

Anyone may put the mixer or a mix on their own site using the embed code we provide, without changing it or hiding the Dub Generator credit and links. We may stop an embed from working if it is used against these terms.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Dub Generator running, but it is offered as it is and may have interruptions, bugs or downtime. Packs are available as long as our agreement with each artist lasts: if a pack is removed, the mixes made with it may be removed too. We may change or stop features; if we close the service we will give you reasonable notice.

10. Liability

We are responsible for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for anything the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise, as a free service, we are not liable for indirect losses or for the loss of mixes; keep your own copy of anything important. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

11. Closing your account

You can stop using Dub Generator at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to [legal@dubgenerator.com] from the email of your account. Deleting it removes your profile and your mixes. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you on the site or by email and ask you to accept the new version before you publish again. The date at the top shows the current version.

13. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live and bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence.
